User Tables (MicroWave I only)

usertables1

A new menu has been added to the MicroWave I Editor. It gives access to four kind of user defined tables. They are used to define special tuning/velocity curves and optional remapping program changes to specific sounds and multis.

User Tuning

There are different Tuning Tables available for a sound program. Beside the predefined ln+, ln-, rn1, rn2 and hmt table, four user tables (the upper two are stored on an inserted card) are possible: T1 .. T4.

After selection, the semitone and detune values are visualized:

The reset button (the one with the Yin and Yang icon) clears a non standard setting. Open and Save will load/restore the data as a system exclusive dump. And last not least, the button with the keyboard icon opens a dialog, where detuning can be defined repeated over all octaves:

For example, to approximate a Meantone temperament („Die Quinte heult wie ein Wolf!“), the following values may be entered:

No. Key Cent Semitone/64 (rounded)
0 C 0,00 0
1 Cis -23,95 -15
2 D -6,84 -4
3 Es 10,26 7
4 E -13,69 -9
5 F 3,42 2
6 Fis -20,53 -13
7 G -3,42 -2
8 Gis -27,37 -18
9 A -10,26 -7
10 Ais 6,84 4
11 H -17,11 -11
12 C 0 0

User Velocity

When the Microwave is in Multi Mode, each of the instruments contain a velocity curve. In this example, when selecting T1, a slightly impressed dynamic will result (quiet tones remain soft, while getting more louder when crossing half of the maximum attack):

Sound Program Change Maps
Multi Program Change Maps

These mappings are best set to default (let output sound/multi program number be the input program number).
